This week, the other interns and I met with our coordinators and liason to discuss our contracts. I decided my theme would be Reading and Writing Across the Curriculum, because reading and writing are my favorite subjects to teach, and I want to learn how to integrate it into other content areas and gain experience working with all different grade levels. I plan to give release dates to 8 different teachers (K-5 plus Title I and BD). I am very excited to get those experiences! I know I will learn a lot from each class and teacher.
The other interns and I also plan on collaborating together to plan and implement a station at the school carnival in the spring. We will have to reach out to parents, plan with other teachers, gather resources, and work together to make our station run smoothly.
